Print design // Southampton Children's Hospital – G3 Ward

Transforming the Children's trauma and orthopaedic ward (G3) into a beautiful space themed, immersive environment.

G3 ward at Southampton Children's Hospital had a huge £1.6 million refurbishment earlier this year, and following the very positive response to my design work for the theatre reception, Headfudge was commissioned to create branded graphics for the new ward and transform the environment with strong, immersive branded graphics following the long-standing space theme. I had the idea of including the 12 different zodiac signs, so that the children could point out theirs to nurses and also added lots of little space elements (In the same coloured silhouette style) where the young patients could have their anxiety eased by trying to find certain elements and use the walls as in interactive aid.
